The war has just ended and the soldiers return to their homes is
fact. In the general euphoria, a sailor (named Glenn Edward McDuffie) and a
nurse, although completely unknown among them, spontaneously kissing passionately in the middle
street in Times Square in New York. The picture has become known by the title
«The kiss Navy» (Sailor's kiss) and took the photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt.
